Below are a list of additional links that pre-pharmacy students may find useful on their quest to apply for pharmacy schools in the United States.

 

Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS)
A centralized application service for applicants applying to colleges and schools of pharmacy. Note: Not all pharmacy schools in the United States are participants of PharmCAS.

Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT)
May be required for applicants to various pharmacy schools throughout the entire United States. For registration deadlines, click here>>

Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
Apply to take the Pharmacy Technician exam to obtain national recognition as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
May be required for pharmacy school applicants who are non-US citizens or whose academic experience was majorly in a non-English-speaking environment (depending on various pharmacy schools).

Pharmacy Times
They provide the most recent news on almost every aspect of pharmacy you can think of (topics include drug interactions, pharmacy technology, patient counseling, pharmacy law, and case studies, just to name a few). Their issues are free, and you can read them online (ePharmacy Times) or subscribe to them and have the issue mailed straight to your mailbox (student subscriptions only, click here>>).

MedPage Today
A free medical news service that offers hundreds and thousands of articles that covers the latest news and headlines, with topics ranging from determatology, emergency medicine and OB/GYN to pediatrics, psychiatry, and radiology. If you register with them, you can create your own profile so that all the articles are of your interest and have hot topics and headlines sent straight to your electronic mailbox. The Student Doctor Network (SDN)
The largest pre-health and health-student forums on the Internet. The forums include a wide range of helpful tips and guides. Under the Pharmacy section, you can find feedback from students who have interviewed at different pharmacy schools and specific questions that they felt were difficult and interesting. There is also a PCAT forum to help you prepare for the test.
